As I do every year, when it is possible, I take advantage of the cold season to make components that I will install in place when the nice season returns. One of these components is a small cabinet located above the sink in the toilet area. In october, I made, at its planned location, a model of the cabinet, using plastic strips and hot melt glue. By transposing on wood, the acquired dimensions and shapes, I obtain my cabinet that should easily fit in position. Some adjustments may be necessary but they are easily made. I will only have to varnish it.


Vous pouvez noter une longue fente horizontale dans le haut de mon cabinet, au dessus des portes. C'est la que je planifie d'installer l'éclairage a DELs pour la section de la toilette. J'ai l'intention de fabriquer mes propres ampoules a DELs et cela sera le sujet de ma prochaine entrée que je compte faire dans quelques semaines. Sans etre un cours d'électronique ou d'ingénérie, mettons que je vais discuter du principe de fonctionnement d'une Diode Électro-Luminescente, ses avantages sur un ampoule a incandescence, et comment elles sont mises ensemble pour former une ampoule a DELs.

You may notice a long horizontal slot on the top of my cabinet, right above the doors. This is where I plan to install the LED lighting for the toilet area. I plan do make my own LED lightbulbs and that will be the subject of my next entry in a few weeks. It wont be a full featured electronic or engineering lesson, but I'll explain the operation of a Light Emmiting Diode, its advantages over an incandescent lightbulb, and how they're put together to make a LEDs lightbulb.
